Chitons

The chitons (Amphineura) are wonderful mollusks. They are so primitive that they remained some traits of their ancestors polychaetes. The chitons have metameric gills, shell, celomoducts, their larva is a typical trochophora!

Tonicella marmorea is the most common species in the White sea. The other two species: Tonicella rubra and Ischnochiton albus.
