In the lake.
When I was on the coast of the White sea I had a possibility to swim in the lakes nearby. The water was dark, full of suspended peat but rather transparent.
The quillwort (Isoetes lacustris). This is a very rear plant that is close related to clubmosses. Quillworts grow in the cold cleenwater lakes.
Sponges:
There were a lot of different sponges in the lake. Everything there was covered by green and yellow crust. This species is similar to Spongilla.
Another sponge:
This may be Ephydatia.
Fishes:
This is a stickleback. (Pungitius pungitius), the nine-spined stickleback.
Coregonus albula. This species is very common in White sea lakes, you can see big shoals of them. This shoal was very far, that is why this photo is so bad.
A burbot Lota lota. The most beautiful of freshwater species.
a very young burbot.
